Marcus’s dark eyes flicked briefly to Shalu, whose expression remained composed but tinged with apprehension. He offered her a subtle, reassuring glance, as if to remind her of the quiet understanding they shared. She returned the look with a faint nod, though the tension in her stance lingered.
Ramesh gestured toward the wall beside the large windows, where the warm glow of the setting sun spilled into the room. “Over there will do,” he said, his tone casual but firm. “Stand apart—about a few feet—so I can watch comfortably.”
